Responsibilities:

The Client Services Manager is responsible for delivery of our accounting services to external clients in a timely and accurate manner. You will learn and be an important point of contact and serve as a subject matter expert for Client global accounting support. You will help Clients with incorporation and company set-up, annual compliance (e.g., annual report, audit, tax), accounting, and assisting them in setting up sound accounting practices for their entity. You will coordinate and assist with our India team and with our in-country partners around the world. This is a very hands-on position where you feel comfortable “down in the trenches.” The perfect candidate for this role will have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to creatively problem solve. They will have a natural curiosity that drives them to seek out more knowledge in order to assist with helping Clients and growing the Company.

Delivering on this includes:

  • Communicate with Clients to determine expectations, scope of services, deadlines and other requirements
  • Manage a book of business, assign team members, and assist them in making sure clients’ needs are being met
  • Take care of escalated client issues as necessary
  • Ensure work is delivered timely and in accordance with GU quality standards
  • Communicate with key Client personnel on a regular basis
  • Provide ad hoc accounting advice as may arise in the course of the engagements or as may be requested,
  • working with the global accounting team to execute Client inquiries
  • Interact with Clients, auditors and tax preparers as it pertains to the engagement

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal applicant will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with Accounting major or concentration. Masters preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Big 4 or public accounting with experience in organizational accounting operations, including accounting system operations, financial statement preparation and accounting/ payroll functions
  • Experience in accounting with a global company or worked outside of US in accounting
  • 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory/management experience and ability to multi-task a must
  • Experience with incorporation, entity set up, accounting, and annual compliance
  • Experience working with various ERP systems and knowledge of their features and functions required
  • Advanced Microsoft tools expertise
  • Some management experience directing others

Preferred Experience:

  • CPA with accounting and tax experience
  • Experience working in a client-facing role where you are managing clients
  • Experience in accounting with a global company or worked outside of US in accounting
  • Experience within a public accounting firm in a Sr Audit or Management role and/or as an Accounting Manager/Controller
  • Ability to research and implement new technologies and processes in a global environment to improve Clients accounting operations
  • Demonstrated communications ability with both executive and clerical staff
  • Self-starter who learns quickly and can adapt to changes in scope easily
