Our Client is a Pre-IPO SaaS Tech Hyper-growth Start-Up with phenomenal team culture, and remote-first environment. The ideal candidate is GAAP SaaS ASC 606 Revenue expert, with expertise in order-to-cash revenue, hands on experience in day-to-day revenue recognition accounting operations, with the ability to hit the ground running to lead a scalable team of 4, with pre-IPO SaaS Tech start-up company experience, and systems experience in NetSuite & SalesForce. This role will report to the VP of Finance & Accounting.


  • Full-cycle GAAP Revenue accounting operations, with strategic input into the day-to-day revenue processes, reconciliation, deferrals, billing, invoicing, SaaS Tech ASC 606 technical accounting
  • Skilled in hands-on exposure with GAAP Revenue operations processes, calculate & accrue monthly commissions, compensation plans, pricing, including deferrals (contract assets)
  • Applies GAAP compliance in revenue recognition policies ensuring compliance to a sales arrangement, within company policy
  • Experienced in quantitative & statistical analysis with marketing metrics, ROI metrics, sales forecasting, sales quota, and finance exposure Proficiency in contract management, analyzes contract financial data from sub-systems reconciles, ensuring data accuracy within system
  • Month-end close procedures relating to Revenue, deferrals, accounts receivable, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, quote-to-cash processes
  • Performed contract analysis review and apply critical thinking to ensure subscription and services contracts have been accounted for correctly under ASC 606
  • Proven experience in developing & streamline revenue accounting operations, including revenue recognition technical memos execution, according to US GAAP
  • Experienced in Audit, managing schedules & deliverables, working with big 4 external auditors
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, legal, marketing, sales, and cross-functional teams to streamline best practices within revenue streams
  • Oversee full-cycle GAAP accounts receivable operations billing, cash receipts, credit cards processing, invoicing, collections, including lead accounts receivable team
  • Meticulous attention to detail, A keen focus on scale, end-to-end automation, and evolving processes for scale and efficiency
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and project management skills to drive process efficiencies
  • Provide ongoing revenue reconciliation, analysis, and ad-hoc support cross-functionally


  • Minimum 8 years of experience in full-cycle GAAP Revenue Accounting
  • Technical Accounting Authority in SaaS Tech ASC 606 and all technical revenue operations, with expertise in order-to-cash revenue
  • BA Accounting or Bus Admin or similar, CPA, with public Accounting, (Big 4) a plus
  • Strategic Partner to C-Suite, with proven experience driving & streamline scalable process improvements within revenue recognition
  • Experience in working in hyper-growth SaaS Tech Startup environments, with quantitative and problem-solving skills
  • Solid leadership with over 5+ years of experience, to mentor, train, and lead team of 4, with scalable ability to grow revenue team
  • Able to wear many hats, flexible, nimble, thrives in fast-paced environments, highly organized & detailed, in a highly collaborative team
  • Systems experience in NetSuite and Salesforce required, Anaplan (or similar) nice to have
  • Must be able to travel on a quarterly basis to San Francisco or Santa Barbara, CA
